At Cottesmore, we recognise the critical importance of sustainability or both our local community and the planet. We are dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint and are continually striving to make our operations more sustainable.
Our Sustainability Mission
Starting 2023, we initiated a mission to boost sustainability in our venue, given the hotel industry's contribution to global carbon emissions.
After an emissions assessment by Carbon Neutral Britain, we now track our energy use monthly and monitor water use, laundry, single-use plastics, food waste, and recycling. We aim to significantly improve our sustainability this year and encourage our members, guests, and visitors to join us in our quest.

Biomass heating system
This renewable energy source reduces our reliance on fossil fuels
Solar panels
We harness the sun's power to generate clean, renewable energy for our operations
On-site composting of all food waste
This practice reduces waste sent to landfills and enriches our soil
Rainwater harvesting system
We collect and reuse rainwater for watering our golf course, significantly reducing our water consumption
Hotel rooms
We actively manage towel usage and sort recyclables to reduce waste
Single use plastics
We continue to remove and replace single use plastics wherever possible across the venue.
